With 40414 cases, Maharashtra sees highest one day spike

Concerns regarding the lockdown are growing through out the state

On Monday, India reported another spike of the highest single-day cases in 2021 with over 40K cases from Maharashtra. The CM of the state, Udhhav Thackeray has hinted towards a lockdown and has urged people to maintain as much social distancing as possible and to keep following the covid guidelines. A night curfew post 8 pm has also been ordered to reduce the number of growing cases.

Prohibition on the gathering of more than 5 people and restaurants and bars have been ordered to remain shut. The night curfew has been extended to April 15th. As per the tweets of Mumbai Police, Home deliveries, food pickups & other essential services are allowed to function normally.
