
As cases see a huge spike all over India, Maharashtra remains one of the worst-hit states. The state recorded its highest single-day spike on Sunday with 63,294 cases. The rising cases have resulted in intense pressure on the health care system and hence, the CM has dictated a curfew and imposition of Section 144 throughout the state. For clearer instructions, a notice has been shared by the official handle of CMO Maharashtra on various social media platforms.

The ‘Break the Chain’ campaign is aimed at curbing the spread of the virus and restrictions have been tightened in the state. Public services have been restricted to only essential workers and all forms of services in the non-essential category would remain barred in the period.
