Uddhav Thackeray has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to lower the age of people taking the vaccine to 25. So young people below the age of 45 can take the vaccine and stay safe from the virus. The reason behind this is the rising cases of Covid in the state.
In the letter to PM Modi, Chief Minister Udhhav Thackeray has also demanded that Maharashtra be provided 1.5 crore additional doses of Covid vaccines, which will enable the state government to complete within three weeks the vaccination of the beneficiaries above 45 years of age in six districts, including Mumbai. A copy of the letter has also been posted on various social media platforms by the handle of the chief minister’s office.
