The Maharashtra health department is planning to provide certain relaxations in areas where the weekly positive rate of Covid-19 is less than 0.1%. Health Minister of the state, Mr. Rajesh Tope said on Friday that state Health Secretary Dr. Pradeep Vyas is preparing a plan to imply relaxation without increasing the number of cases, which will be then presented to the Chief Minister and the State’s Covid19 Task Force for their approval. At the same time, the government is expected to decide to open more types of suburban train services in the coming days.

As the numbers show a declining curve, according to health department officials, 25 districts in the state, including Mumbai, Thane and Pune have a weekly positivity rate under 0.1%.
