India gets 3 COVID vaccine post DGCI's nod for SPUTNIK V

Indians can accept the arrival of the SPUTNIK V vaccine by May and it is said to be one of the most affordable vaccines available worldwide. It has 92 percent efficacy against the virus and is recommended to be given in 2 doses of 0.5 ml each to individuals over 18.

As of now, India has approved two other vaccines against COVID-19, including Covishield — the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India — and India’s very own Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin. India has recently observed ‘Tika Utsav’ which was a four-day exercise from April 11,where PM Modi had urged people to get vaccinated and  27.69 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered till Sunday evening.
