It is evident by now that the Covid-19 cases are increasing rapidly and this can be accounted as the second wave of the virus in India. Today, India reported 23,285 fresh cases amongst which Maharashtra had 14,317. The second-highest number of cases was from Kerela. Six-states in India are seeing a major rise in fresh cases- Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.
Nagpur, a city in Maharashtra has gone under complete lockdown and strict restrictions and curbs have been imposed on other districts with rising cases as well. NITI Aayog member Dr. V K Paul described Maharashtra as a “significant worry” and has suggested other states to not take the virus “for granted”.
