CM Mamata Banerjee writes letter to PM regarding vaccine shortage

West Bengal Chief Minister has written a letter to PM citing the shortage of vaccines in the state.

On Sunday, Mamta Banerjee in a letter to PM Narendra Modi has stated that the state of West Bengal is facing a shortage of the COvid-19 vaccine, and to meet the demand, 5.4 crore vaccines more should be provided to the state. Her letter mentions that the current supply of the vaccine is ‘scarce and erratic’.

The letter mentions that while West Bengal was one of the best performers in terms of vaccination, it is now suffering because of the uncertainties from the end of the central government. As of now, they have to vaccinate 2.7 crore people and for that, they need 5.4 crore vaccines.
