On Thursday, Brazil’s health ministry has signed a contract to purchase 20 million doses of Covaxin from Bharat Biotech. The deal is worth 1.6 billion reais ($290,000), with the first 8 million vaccine doses expected to arrive in March. Brazil is the world’s third-worst affected country just behind the USA and India. As of now, Brazil has vaccinated less than 4 percent of its entire population of 210 million people.
This news may come as a relief to Indian citizens who were skeptical about taking the vaccine and were tensed regarding the unforeseen side effects. Knowing the trust of foreign countries in vaccination and its process may encourage people to get one.
