Schools and colleges have turned into containment zones as 89 students have tested positive in just 15 days from schools and colleges in Bengaluru. This gives rise to a tussle between the health and education department and places forth a big question regarding the safety of students attending these institutions. The data has been released by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
A recent report by the COVID-19 technical advisory committee has stated “Except 10th and 12th standards, semester and final year students of higher education, other offline classes shall be suspended. Colleges including higher education shall be in online mode except for health sciences.” With India facing the wrath of the second wave of the virus, safety and health should be the most important concern for all institutions.
