Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme Permanent Commission

10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME  (PERMANENT COMMISSION)

Applying for Indian Navy SSR 2019.

Candidates are invited for applying in Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a Four Year Degree Course under 10+2(B. tech) are required to follow the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility conditions :
  1. Marital Status :

Candidates with marital status unmarried are only eligible for applying in the post.

  1. Age :

Candidates should have been born between the date of 2nd July 2000 and 1st January 2003 (a proper age between 16 to 19 years of age. (both of the dates are inclusive).

  1. Educational Qualification :

The candidates are required to behave minimum passing marks with at least 70% of aggregate marks in all of the three subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and a minimum of at least 50% marks in English(either of 10 or 10+2) in Senior Secondary Board Examination or its equivalent Examination from any recognized university.

Candidates who have applied and appeared for the Joint Entrance Examinations (MAINS) for BE/B.TECH is also applicable. The call up for Service Selection Board(SSB) will be issued and called upon based on the rank attained in JEE (MAINS) – 2019 ALL INDIA RANK.

  1. Medical Standards :

1). All of the candidates applying for the post will have to strictly undergo the Medical Standards for the examination of Physical fitness and disabilities with the help of doctors. The candidates who are not qualified will not be applicable for the post. No relaxation is provided on the ground of medical standards.

2). Candidates should have minimum physical standards. Minimum chest expansion of 5cm. Both weight and chest should be proportionate. Complete details for the physical standards can be attained from the official website of Indian Navy, “www.joinindiannavy.qov.in”

3). Minimum height of 157 cm. Relaxation to heights are only permissible to candidates holding the domicile of specific regions and the complete details can be found on the official site of Indian Navy “www.joinindiannavy.qov.in”

4). The candidates should be in minimum good physical and mental health. They should be free from any sort of defect which is highly probably to interfere with their prior duty performance and field duty execution during normal as well as during war conditions as per the Navy Order (Special) 01/2008. 5). The candidates are allowed to have tattoos only on inner forearms, from inside of the elbow and to the reversed side of the palms and back side of the hand. The complete guidelines for tattoos are available on the official Indian Navy website “www.joinindiannavy.gov.in”.

CANDIDATES WILL BE OFFERED :

  1. Promotions:

The candidates will be allowed for Promotions from the Sub Lieutenant to Commander on completion of basics tasks and time on the ship with regard to specific mandatory courses, sea time and specific medical conditions.

  1. Pay and Allowances.

The candidates will be given Pay along with specific allowances and all other facilities and Privileges. The complete details about allowances and payings are given on the official Indian Navy website “www.joinindiannavy.gov.in”.

    Group Insurance and Gratuity :

The candidates will be offered a basic insurance cover of One Crore (1crore) (on contribution) and gratuity will be given to officer as per the latest rules.

  1. Leave Entitlements :

The candidates on Officers posts are entitled and permitted to have annual and casual leave as per based on the extent regulations regarding leave allowances. Leave taken during the time of the training will be strictly under rules and regulations of the Training Policy.

  1. Sports and Adventure :

The candidates will also be provided with sports facilities and permission for learning adventure sports including river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding and windsurfing along with other sports.

PROCEDURE OF SELECTION :

IHQ of MoD (Navy) reserves all of the rights to fix off the cut off for giving the applications for SSB based on JEE MAIN All India Rank – 2019 of the corresponding candidates. No kind of communication will be provided or done in this case. The SSB Interviews that are to be held will be provided for the candidates and they will be scheduled at

Bangalore/Bhopal/Vishakapatnam/Coimbatore/Kolkata from the month of August to October 2019.

The candidates those will be shortlisted will be through their emails or by SMS service via the number provided in the application form about their selections and SSB interviews. The candidates are strictly advised to properly maintain their given emails and phone numbers for receiving of the information until the procedure is completed.

There will be two stages for the SSB interview.

Stage 1 :

It will consist of intelligence testing, Picture Perception, and Group Discussion altogether. The candidates who fail to pass the Stage 1 test will be immediately halted from the post and further entry to stage 2.

Stage 2 :

There are three sub-stages of stage 2, Psychological testing, Group testing and Personal Interview that will go on for four days. The candidates who will be able to pass the test will be hereby promoted for Medical Examination that will last for 5 days.

Important note: Any kind of change of the place of the SSB Interview will not be permitted. Any such changes and alterations that are to be done should be directly addressed to the Call-up Officer in the particular SSB. New dates for SSB will only be available for usage after the availability of batches and slots.
